Generation Equality Forum

The Generation Equality Forum is a civil society centred, multistakeholder global gathering for gender equality, convened by UN Women and co-hosted by the governments of Mexico and France, in partnership with civil society and youth. Through co-creation and diverse and inclusive consultations, the Forum will bring together feminist advocates from across the globe to foster action and renew movements for gender equality, as well as to launch a set of innovative and multi-stakeholder Action Coalitions.

The Generation Equality Forum will commence in Mexico City (Mexico) from 29 to 31 March 2021 and will culminate in Paris (France) in June 2021. As a global movement for urgent action and accountability for gender equality, the Forum promotes systemic and transformative change that accelerates the implementation of the historic Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and leads to gender equality, resilience, and sustainability in a world affected by COVID-19.
